Welcome to Butterton Moor House

Our beautiful 16th Century home, originally built as a gentleman's house and working farm, is set within the Peak District National Park and on the edge of the Derbyshire Dales.

The stone property now offers luxury self-catering holiday cottages in the Peak District with Butterton Moor Cottage and Butterton Moor Loft. The excellent leisure facilities include a beautiful indoor heated swimming pool and billiards / snooker room. Also available, an outdoor dining area and pizza oven!

The fabulous facilities of our Peak District holiday cottages and stunning scenery provide the perfect holiday setting for walking, cycling, visiting historic houses – Chatsworth is close by - or just meandering around the picture postcard villages and enjoying excellent local pubs and restaurants. Riding is available in the area where you can explore the many miles of bridle paths close by.

Families with children of all ages will find a host of activities and places to visit within the Peak District, and the famous Alton Towers Theme Park is just down the road from our holiday cottages!


We have enjoyed living at Butterton Moor House in the Peak District since September 2007 and are continually improving and upgrading the holiday cottage accommodation and guest facilities. We take great pride in providing the very best possible service and hope we may welcome you many times in the future to this beautiful area.

Unfortunately, in consideration of future guests, we are not able to accept animals in our cottages. We do have very child friendly dogs ourselves, however, and they wander around the gardens at times.
